Catholic Schools Week

National Catholic Schools Week theme this year is – “Catholic Schools:  Learn.  Serve.  Lead.  Succeed.

It highlights our focus on faith development, academic excellence and dedication to community service.  The following activities and events show how Ascension School is doing this as a community.

Saturday, January 27th FREE “Flip Flop Hop” Family Dance Party in the gym 6-8 p.m.
Sponsored by Home & School and open to all students, parents and siblings. Dress up in your favorite beach gear and soak up the sunny vibes as you dance the night away!  Dance and limbo contests offer chances to win fun prizes while you show off your best dance moves. This event kicks off a week of celebrations for Catholic Schools Week and is a great time for all ages.  We will also use this event as an opportunity to “live out loud” our values of Love/Kindness/Respect by collecting toiletries for Housing Forward, a community organization dedicated to transitioning homeless individuals and families into stable housing. We will be boogying from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the gym.  Free admission, pizza and soft drinks!  Hope you can make it!
