Domestic Violence Awareness: Silent Witness Display in Back of Church

Domestic Violence Awareness: Silent Witnesses

In the back of our church, from October 7 through October 16, stand two red figures each representing a woman who lost her life to domestic violence. We encourage you to take time to read the stories of these women—Claire VanLandingham, age 27, and Mary Lou Homolka, age 60—described on the shields attached to the figures.

These figures are part of the Silent Witness Initiative, an international program to raise awareness about and prevent domestic violence. By “Remembering Their Stories, Remembering Their Names,” we provide hope, help, and healing to the victims of domestic violence. Let us continue to keep the victims, survivors, and families affected by domestic violence in our prayers.

If you are a victim of domestic violence, we encourage you to contact:
