Family Wreath Making Event | Sunday, December 1.  Join us in the Pine Room following 9 AM Mass to learn about Advent and to assemble a wreath to use in your home. A $20 donation covers the cost of the brass ring, candles and greenery ($10 if you have your own ring). Register HERE

Weekday Mass & Rosary | Monday through Friday.  Rosary at 7:45 AM & Mass at 8:15 AM. Advent is a wonderful time to attend daily Mass. Go here to find Mass locations & times that may be more convenient for your busy weekday.

Sacrament of Reconciliation | Every Saturday.  In the Church from 4:00 - 4:45 PM.  This reflection is a reminder that Reconciliation can truly be a gift. "My burden is lighter; my relationships have improved and my God feels closer." 

Luminaria Sale | Order Now.  Help Light the way for Christ this Christmas Eve! Orders due by 12/12. Pick-up and Payment (cash or check) after Masses on 12/14 & 12/15. Thank you for supporting this long standing Religious Education fundraiser! Order your kit HERE.

Our Lady Of Guadalupe | Begin a 9-day Novena on December 4.  The feast day of our Our Lady of Guadalupe is on December 12. We invite you to pray a 9-day Novena in her honor. Follow this link for the instructions and prayers.

Advent Evening Prayer | Wednesdays, December 4, 11 and 18.  Join us in the Church from 7-7:30 PM for a service of light, incense, silence and intercession with psalms and carols of the season.

Taizé Prayer | Friday, December 6.  At 7:30 pm in the Church. Taizé is an ecumenical prayer for peace and reconciliation. Ascension is well-known throughout the region for its beautiful Taizé service. Come see why!
 
Donate your time to serve the homeless | December 6 and 21. Volunteers needed to staff Housing Forward's shelter at St. John's in Forest Park. Learn more.
 
Contemplative Prayer | Saturdays, December 7, 14 and 21.  At 8:30 am in the Church. Join others in the practice of Christian Meditation.
 
2019 AWC Cookie Walk & Christmas Market | Saturday, December 7.  From 10:00 AM-1:00 PM in the school gym. Purchase homemade cookies and unique gifts. Proceeds from the cookie walk benefit our sharing parish. Baked good donations needed! Learn more.
 
Ascension Children's Christmas Boutique | Saturday, December 7.  Children invited to the Pine Room from 10 AM-1 PM to Christmas shop for their loved ones.  Big kids are on hand to help your child find affordable gifts for everyone on their list. 
 
Cocoa with Claus | Sunday, December 8.  Children of all ages are invited for Christmas crafts, hot cocoa, sweet treats, music and a visit from Santa. Noon-1:30 PM in the Pine Room.
 

Join Us as We Walk and Pray in Solidarity at the Immigration Ministry’s 14th Annual Posada | Friday, December 13. 7:00 am - 9:00 am at 101 West Ida B. Well Parkway. Details.

The Ascension Christmas Angel Project Angel Gift Drop off | Friday, December 13. Drop off Angel Gifts between 4:00-8:00 PM in the school gym. Didn't get an Angel Tag but want to participate? Gift cards always needed and can be dropped of in the Parish Center before December 13. Learn more.

Hospitality Sunday | December 15.  Gather after all morning Masses for food and beverages in the school gym. Attending the RE Christmas Pageant? Then grab a beverage and food before or after the program.
 
Ascension Children Embracing Service (ACES) | Sunday, December 15.  Kids KDG-5th grade invited to make "Blessings in a sock." At 3 PM in the Pine Room. Details.

Carols with the Choirs | Sunday, December 15.  New this year! Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to hear all of our amazing Choirs perform carols of the season. 4:00 PM-5:00 PM in the Church. More details

Advent Reconciliation Service | Monday, December 16. 
Gather for this community-wide penance service at St. Giles Church at 6:30 pm. Opportunity available for individual confessions.
 
Ascension Family Christmas Movie Night | Saturday, December 21. All families invited for "Home Alone." Pizza, popcorn and beverages will be provided. 6:00 pm in Pine Room. Sponsored by Ascension Knights of Columbus. Registration not required but helpful. More details and to register

Mary, the Holy Mother of God | January 1, 2020. Mass at 9:00 am.  Taizé Prayer for the World Day of Prayer for Peace at 7:30 pm 

 

The Epiphany of the Lord | Saturday, January 4 – Mass at 5:00 pm.  Sunday, January 5 – Mass at 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 5:00 pm Mass jointly celebrated at St. Edmund Church

 

Honoring Refugees & Immigrants on the Feast of the Magi | Sunday, January 5 - from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm in Pine Room. Join us after all the Masses on Epiphany Sunday to view a display of Nativity scenes from all over the world, celebrating in different cultural settings the story of Christ’s birth. Details.

The Baptism of the Lord | Saturday and Sunday, January 11-12.  Regular Weekend Mass Schedule. This concludes the Christmas Season.

 

Immigration Ministry Film Festival to mark National Migration Week | Sunday January 12. In Pine Room from 2:00-4:00 PM. Gather for a viewing of the documentary "BEYOND BORDERS: Undocumented Mexican-Americans." Details.
