Support the Kolbe House Jail Ministry
In the effort to protect vulnerable people in Illinois prisons from COVID-19, many are being released quickly. Upon release it is common for people to have nothing but the clothes on their backs. To get a safe start on life in the community they need food, clothing, basic transportation, guidance to resources, and reinforcement of social distancing guidelines. Kolbe House Jail Ministry is part of a coalition of organizations providing such assistance. Your donation today will be used to purchase $50 grocery gift cards and $30 CTA passes for essential travel. Give online here, or mail your check to: Kolbe House, 2434 South California Avenue, Chicago, IL 60608
Beyond Hunger is Looking for Reusable Mask Donations
Beyond Hunger provides reusable masks to people and families who come to the food pantry to receive food. Their supply is dwindling and they are in need of more reusable masks in order to reach each household that visits the food pantry. If you have fabric reusable masks to donate please contact Monnette Bariel, Volunteer Coordinator:
Ascension School Emergency Tuition Relief Fund
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused challenges for us all. For some of our school families, the financial impact has made it impossible to make their tuition payments at this time. Please help these families by making a contribution to the Tuition Relief Fund here.
On July 18 and 19, Ascension will host it's monthly Food Drive for St. Martin de Porres food pantry
Please drop off donations on Saturday, July 18, between 4:30 and 6 pm, or Sunday, July 19, between 7:30 am and 12 noon. When you arrive on Sunday, if you are attending Mass, then bring the bags in with you and place them in the back of the church (southeast corner where confessionals were taken out). If you are not attending Mass and just dropping off, then please hand the bags to a volunteer.
Monetary donations may be made at any time by: 1) Donating online, 2) Dropping a donation in our mail slot, or 3) Mailing a check to Ascension Church, 808 S. East Ave, Oak Park, IL  60304. A check can be made out to St. Martin de Porres with Food Pantry on the memo line.
