The Giving Tree/Christmas Angels

Our unified parish has traditionally organized an Advent almsgiving project to benefit those in need within our parish and surrounding communities. The annual Giving Tree has traditionally been displayed in the north trancept of the St. Edmund Church during late November. Colorful donation envelopes hang on the tree for donors to take and return with monetary donations that will be used to to purchase gift cards for various non-profit organizations and for parishiorners with need.  The organizations include Housing Forward, Sarah's Inn and A House in Austin. Parishioners include seniors, veterans, single parents and domestic violence survivors.

 

During the Thanksgiving period, we consider our many blessings and generously share with those who struggle to meet their basic needs for food, shelter, medicine and clothing.
