MSM - Middle School Ministry (7th and 8th)

The Middle School Ministry is religious education for students in Grades 7th and 8th and meets in McDonough Hall. Through discussion and activities, students delve deeper into specific topic areas of our faith to discover what it means to live as a Catholic in today’s world.

Classes meet twice a month in person and once a month there is an ‘at-home’ activity. The in-person sessions are on Wednesday evenings from 4:30 to 5:45 pm or from 7 to 8:15 pm.

Middle School Ministry (MSM) – Parent meeting on Wednesday, September 6 at 7 pm in McDonough Hall. Classes start on Wednesday, September 13.
Students also receive formation for the reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation at the appropriate age and readiness through the parish Sacrament Preparation program. The preparation for all sacraments incorporates prayer, formation, and service throughout their preparation process. Parent meetings and other opportunities for inter-generational faith-sharing are included.

You are invited to become a catechist of the Middle School Ministry – No experience is necessary except for an open heart and a willingness to share your faith with the future of our Church. At monthly meetings catechists receive the presentations that the children will receive the following month. There is ongoing support in a community of caring women and men with the same desire to walk with our children on their faith journey – and a perk of being a catechist is that if your child is in the program there will be a 50% reduction in their tuition.
