TRE - Traditional Religious Education

Traditional Religious Education-(TRE) is a text-based faith formation program that uses Loyola Press, “Finding God” for all grade levels. The program is designed for students to learn about our Catholic faith, teachings, and traditions.  Classes are located at Ascension Campus / School and are offered on Sunday (9-10:15 am) or Tuesday (6:45-8:00 pm)

Traditional RE (TRE) – Sunday classes begin on September 10 at 9 am with a Parent Meet and Greet in the Pine Room at Ascension School.

Tuesday classes begin September 13 at 6:45 pm in Pine Room for a Parent Meet and Greet.

You are invited to become a catechist of the Traditional Religious Education – No experience is necessary except for an open heart and a willingness to share your faith with the future of our Church. At monthly meetings catechists receive the presentations that the children will receive the following month. There is ongoing support in a community of caring women and men with the same desire to walk with our children on their faith journey – and a perk of being a catechist is that if your child is in the program there will be a 50% reduction in their tuition.

Students also receive formation for the reception of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation at the appropriate age and readiness through the parish Sacrament Preparation program. The formation for all sacraments includes students and their parents in a multi-generational setting which fosters prayer, formation, and service throughout their preparation process.
